Human? is an anthology of science fiction and fantasy stories edited by Judith Merril, published as a paperback original by Lion Books in 1954. No further editions were issued.

Human (Skye Sweetnam song)

"Human" is the fourth single released by Canadian pop rock singer Skye Sweetnam. The song is the lead single released by Sweetnam off of her second album Sound Soldier. The song was produced by production group The Matrix.

Song information

The song was released on her MySpace as a sneak peek, while the full version was leaked to the internet on September 8, 2007. Sweetnam performed the song while she toured across Canada in October and November 2007 as the opening act for Kalan Porter and then on her own tour with Faber Drive. She also performed "Human" as part of her setlist on the 2007 School Rocks Canada tour. The new song was released through EMI, quelling rumors of Sweetnam being dropped from Capitol Records.

Music video

The music video, directed by Sean Wainsteim, was inspired by the film Tank Girl. Sweetnam is in a wasteland where she's surrounded by "junk people" while singing about how "we're only human". She also leads the group of "junkies" in a dance sequence and is followed while driving a bulldozer. The ending of the video has a comic book-style animation sequence. This was drawn by comic book artist Cameron Stewart.

Exhibition

An exhibition, in the most general sense, is an organized presentation and display of a selection of items. In practice, exhibitions usually occur within museums, galleries and exhibition halls, and World's Fairs. Exhibitions can include many things such as art in both major museums and smaller galleries, interpretive exhibitions, natural history museums and history museums, and also varieties such as more commercially focused exhibitions and trade fairs.

The word "exhibition" is usually, but not always, the word used for a collection of items. Sometimes "exhibit" is synonymous with "exhibition", but "exhibit" generally refers to a single item being exhibited within an exhibition.

Exhibitions may be permanent displays or temporary, but in common usage, "exhibitions" are considered temporary and usually scheduled to open and close on specific dates. While many exhibitions are shown in just one venue, some exhibitions are shown in multiple locations and are called travelling exhibitions, and some are online exhibitions.

Exhibition Station (MTR)

Exhibition Station is an MTR interchange station under construction on the proposed North Island Line and the North South Corridor. It will be an underground station located underneath the existing Wan Chai North public transport interchange, Harbour Road Sports Centre and Wan Chai Swimming Pool. It will serve the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre at Wan Chai North, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. The station will be completed in 2020.

Description

The station serves the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Wan Chai Sports Ground, and various nearby office towers. It will be an interchange between the North Island Line and the North South Corridor of the Sha Tin-Central Link, offering cross-platform interchange between the two lines. The station is being designed by Farrells. In January 2015, MTR awarded a contract to Leighton in joint venture with China State Construction to construct the station and western approach tunnel. The Wan Chai Bus Terminus, where the station will be built, was relocated to newly reclaimed land and the station groundbreaking took place on the former bus station site on 20 April 2015.

Ulmus americana 'Exhibition'

The American Elm cultivar Ulmus americana 'Exhibition' is a selection made by the Patmore Nurseries from seeds of a tree at Brandon, Manitoba. Released in 1952, 'Exhibition' was propagated by grafting.

Description

The tree has an upright habit, with a dense, vase-shaped canopy formed from branches bearing numerous small twigs.

Pests and diseases

Not known. The species is highly susceptible to Dutch Elm Disease and Elm Yellows; it is also moderately preferred for feeding and reproduction by the adult Elm Leaf Beetle Xanthogaleruca luteola , and highly preferred for feeding by the Japanese Beetle Popillia japonica in the USA. U. americana is also the most susceptible of all the elms to verticillium wilt.

Cultivation

The tree's status in North America is not known; one specimen survives in the UK at Brighton. 'Exhibition' is no longer in commerce.
